The Best Dog Collar We Have SeenAfter searching far and wide, I am happy to report that I have finally found the best dog collar for Daizy! I tried so many different dog collars and leashes--rolled leather collars, regular buckle collars, leather leashes, cotton leashes, etc--but nothing seemed to work well. I have finally found what I really needed. The supercollar® is truly the best dog collar I have seen, both from the point of view of safety of the dog, and from the point of view of convenience for the owner. The supercollar® is the first dog collar with a built-in retractable leash designed to make life easier for you and to keep your dog safe. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, a video must be worth at least a million -- how’s that for math? Seriously though, take a look at this quick video, and you’ll see what I mean. Just Imagine... As I said above, every dog has to wear a collar. Further, every dog needs to have a leash, right? In fact, no matter how well-trained your dog may be, there are going to be times when you need to resort to a leash and control your dog. This can be for his own safety. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard of horrifying instances where the owner opened the door and the dog dashed out straight into traffic, often with tragic results. Or, more commonly, when a delivery person comes to your door, you want to control your dog just a little, but don’t have the leash handy. You then find yourself grabbing your dog’s collar and conversing with the person at the door from an odd “grabbing your dog’s collar” angle! Now imagine that you can just pull out your dog's leash instantly from the best dog collar around and actually stand straight to talk to your visitor! Then there are other times, when you are jogging or walking with your dog off-leash, and along comes another dog on the trail, or just a person who appears to be absolutely petrified of dogs. So now you have to make your dog stop, grab his collar, fumble around for the little loop into which you’ll hook up the leash, get the leash out of your pocket, fiddle around with the clasp on the leash to hook it into the collar... sound familiar? I've been there and done that way too many times! Now imagine how convenient it would be if you grab, out from your dog’s collar, his leash -- that’s it! No wonder the supercollar® has won awards such as 3M's In-New-Vation Award.
You can attach a separate leash if you want If you have a Golden Retriever, you will probably need a large (or depending on the size of your Golden, possibly a medium) sized supercollar®, but check out the table below to see what is right for your dog. When you are measuring your dog's neck, it's best to use a fabric tape measure. Wrap it comfortably around the base of your dog's neck, leaving enough room for two fingers to slide easily between the tape and your dog.
Here’s another scenario where I think the supercollar® comes in very handy. I own an SUV, and Daizy often rides in the back. For safety reasons, I like to keep a leash on her until she jumps up into the back. However, it’s unsafe to leave a regular leash on her when driving -- I certainly don’t want to risk her leash getting caught somewhere. So I have to undo the leash, and take it with me in the car. When we reach our destination, then the whole process has to be done in reverse -- carry the leash out of the car with us, raise the trunk door, grab on to Daizy’s collar to make sure she doesn’t leap out in a hurry, fumble around with the collar and clip the leash on. This is such a pain to do! Even the best dog collar I have tried prior to the supercollar® had me doing this. Now imagine this -- Daizy with the supercollar®, so the leash is contained in the collar itself -- it stays with her, without causing safety concerns. Just leave on this dog collar when she gets in the back, and just grab onto the leash when getting her out of the car. Can it get any easier?
