Can't stop my dog from jumping on people!

Hi, I'm writing from France - excuse my English! There's nothing for stopping my now 11 month old Golden Retriever from jumping on people when happy, maybe you can help me with some secret tricks I haven't tried yet? Thanks!

PS : My wonderful golden named Belle is however the most beautiful and adorable dog the earth has ever carried!!!!!!

Karine

dog jumping up
by: Shaynie

I have an 18 month golden boy,he jumps up when happy too, but we are mixing him with people more and we say to THEM please ignore him he is in training and then guide him away a little or distract him and make him sit. This seems to be working, well most of the time but I think Goldens seem to have a happy magnet that draws people to them so they can make a fuss. It's a natural thing I think that will calm down as they mature.

They sell clickers at pet stores for that, when they jump you click it twice and they'll get down. And soon they don't jump anymore!
