Dog Friendly Hotels

When we plan a whole family vacation, one big consideration is finding dog friendly hotels - after all, my Golden Retriever is an integral member of the family! A dog friendly motel or hotel is key in truly enjoying a vacation with your canine companion. A truly dog friendly hotel doesn't simply allow your dog to stay with you -- rather, it welcomes your dog as a guest too, and gives thought to the little things that make your time with your dog more enjoyable.

I am just starting out on this task of collecting a large listing of hotels where you can enjoy a vacation with your dog. You can see the list I currently have by scrolling down a bit. Best Western
Best Western claims to have over 1900 pet friendly hotels, so hopefully you will be able to find one where you are looking.

Crowne Plaza
These hotels are often quite centrally located, and may offer an ideal place to stay with your dog.

Doubletree
Several of Doubletree (by Hilton) hotels are pet friendly. In addition, several Doubletree accommodations are suites, which may lend themselves better to families with small kids.

Embassy Suites
Embassy Suites has many locations that are dog friendly. And of course, these are all suites, and often work well for families.

La Quinta Inns & Suites
Many different locations of this chain seem to accommodate pets.

Westin
Dogs get their own "Heavenly Beds" and plush doggie robes!

This economy chain seems to allow big dogs in some locations.
