Lack of season

My 2 year old golden retriever hasn't had a season. We have her mother who has been spayed so could this be the reason as no female hormones in the house.

It is very unusual for your 2 year Golden female to not have come into season. That you had her mother spayed should not have an impact on your Golden's periods. She may have a hormonal imbalance preventing her from coming into season.

One possibility is that she may have a thyroid imbalance. You should take her in to the vet to check for reasons she is not in season by the age of 2.
