Laryngeal Paralysis

by Linda
(eg, ri, usa)

My 13 year old golden Brandy has laryngeal paralysis and just had the surgery to tie back one of the vocal cords. I was told that he now may get aspiration pneumonia due to the airway being open all the time. They have told me some tips to help prevent this. If anyone has a golden and is dealing with this issue I would love to hear from you!!!

Response from Golden Retriever Magic:

So sorry to hear about Brandy and hope that he comes through this without a problem. If any of our readers has any experience with this diagnosis, please go ahead and share your experience to help Linda.
