Pandora DR
by: JIm&Donna Gloekler

Hi Ron and Wendy
What great story about Maggie and your family.I thought you should know that Dr Felix is my partner's brother and Kayla from the pet hospital is going to be my daughter in law.

We are lucky to have two golden's in our family and understand how you miss Maggie.

We look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood.

A Fine Furry Family Friend !
by: MIKE & JACKIE BRENNAN

We enjoyed the tale of Maggie Mae, our Golden-Border mix has stolen our hearts as well. It's amazing how they can become part of the family. Maggie was fortunate to have such good & caring people to share her life with.

Glad you enjoyed Maggie's "tail"
by: Ron & Wendy

We're glad you enjoyed Maggie's "tail". Like all Golden parents, Wen and I thought she was special.

For those that read the post, many will be able relate to our relationship, but also will hopefully find that penning their thoughts at the un-avoidable time will serve as a therapeutic tool. Although we have numerous pics of Maggie Mae, we find that periodically reading her story refreshes all the pleasant and joyful memories
we shared with her.

PS - Why we waited until I was 48 to bring a dog into our lives, I'll never know. And then to find at 10 months she had hip dysplasia was mind blowing. We are so glad we made the decision to make Maggie, "bionic" as it gave her another 12 pain-free years of doing what she was born for ........... being a friend and companion.

Maggie really had a wonderful life
by: Golden Retriever Magic

Thanks so much to Ron and Wendy for sharing Maggie's story with us. We were truly touched by the story -- it is so well-written, and really brings out the Golden spirit. It reminded us so much of our first Golden Girl Aisha, who was our first baby, and who was an amazingly integral part of our lives for 10 years.

It is evident to us that you and your wife have given Maggie a wonderful and rich life. She was extremely lucky to have such a great family. The story really brings out both how amazing Goldens are, and how phenomenal and meaningful the Golden-human bond can be.
