Natural Dog Food Recipes

Natural dog food recipes can provide your with many meal ideas you can cook at home for your dog. I find it is best to know exactly what your dog is consuming. Then you don't have to worry when there is another pet food recall or another toxin found in the food you have been feeding your dog.

Dogs are omnivores and eat both veggies and meat but not every meal has to be full of fatty meat. Too much meat has potentially have adverse effects on your dog. You can vary your dog's diet by sometimes considering giving food heavy in veggies. Here is an all vegetable recipe:

    Very Very Vegetably Soup

  • 3 boiled potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil (canola or olive work best)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 baby cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked garbanzo beans

Start by stir-frying the cabbage with 3 tbsp of cooking oil for 10 minutes. Mix the potatoes and garbanzo beans, and put this mixture in a blender and puree it. Add in the stir-fried cabbage. Now slowly add in the milk while mixing to get a good consistency for the soup. You may choose to alter the amount of cabbage used depending on the consistency of the soup.
