Older Male Accepting Younger Male

Will a 9 year old un-neutured male accept new male puppy to household?

Response from Golden Retriever Magic:

A male who has not been neutered is considered more territorial than one who has been neutered. That being said, a lot depends on each dog's personality.

If the older male has a trait of aggressiveness towards other dogs (this is not typical of Goldens), then he will have trouble accepting a new male into the household.

However, many male Goldens, even it they were more assertive or dominant in their youth, do mellow with time.

See how your older Golden reacts and interacts with other males in general. If he is a typical older Golden, he will likely not have a problems.
