Sugar the Golden Retriever, an adorable girl who loves to chat, blogs about her life. In her wonderful blog, she relates her day-to-day and week-to-week activities. She recently hit a milestone with 100 blog posts! To see some of these entertaining posts, you can visit her official site here . Please read ahead to see what Sugar the Golden Retriever and her human Rosalyn had to say about Goldens and blogging...

The Interview

1) Sugar: How did you decide to start blogging? About how many blogs have you written so far?

I started blogging to share a sweet happy life as a golden retriever and correspond with other dog enthusiasts. At first, I started with training and educational blog and quickly turned to be more about my life as a golden retriever. It is continually fun, fun, fun sharing my daily/weekly adventures and receiving feedback from followers, friends and readers. I am very grateful for all the many bloggers who have become friends and share their life with me.

2) Sugar: Why do you think people respond so positively to your blog? What do you think appeals to people about seeing the world from a Golden Retriever's point of view?

I receive lots of positive comments on "how cute" I look. I try to make my blog posts simple but interesting...and being a golden retriever helps. It's the ability to take things in stride, take the good with the bad, and living in the moment.

3) Sugar: What are your favorite things to blog about? Being at the beach, lazing about the house, going to new places … Any specific blog that is your favorite?

I like everything I share in my blog. I LOVE sharing my FUN experiences, adventures playing, going to the park, and hanging out at home.

4) Sugar: What are some things your humans do that amuse you?

I am amused by My MOM, who loves to take photos particularly of me ( and I must say she takes great photos). Another thing is talking to me in human talk thinking that I truly understand, of course I do understand but pretend not sometimes. Wow my humans are into healthy living and enjoy long walks/runs 3-4 miles per day.....it eases my mind when I feel restless.

5) Rosalyn: How did you and Sugar come together?

Sugar came into our life at 7weeks old. She's the smallest of her litter, so sweet and so full of life.

6) Rosalyn: How did you and Sugar begin blogging? Any specific mission you had in mind when you started?

Share and network with loving dog owners. Started with sharing the importance of training dogs and quickly turned into Sugar's life. Currently, there are 104 posts, 56 followers and growing. I really enjoy sharing the life of Sugar and really wish I could correspond to all the followers and reciprocate with a comment or reply. It has been challenging and continue to try to do my best. Sugar’s blog average 50 visitors per week and growing since I started blogging.

7) Rosalyn: Tell us what you feel makes Golden Retrievers such special companions.

Their puppy antics carry over to adulthood. I really cherish that character, as well as, their friendliness and versatility for outdoor activities.

8) Rosalyn: If you could adopt one of Sugar's traits, which one would it be and why?

Her sweetness........ She immediately draws others to her and what you see is what you get with Sugar.

9) Rosalyn and Sugar: Who's the boss in your house? How can you tell?

Rosalyn is MOM and the boss. Sugar definitely knows her limits around the house, although, she gets away with stuff because of her sweetness.

10) Rosalyn and Sugar: What's in the future for you two and your entertaining blog? Is there anything else you'd like to talk about that might be of interest to our readers?

Sugar and I will definitely continue blogging. I plan to redesign Sugar’s blog and have it’s own domain name. I also plan to attach an e-store in the blog called Sugar’s Paw House......Watch for it.

Our current e-store is www.RockStarPooch.com. Sugar is my inspiration for RockStarPooch.com. She is the acting VP of marketing and quality control for unique dog accessories. Checkout our RockStarPooch.com and join our new affiliate pet community.

“Golden Retrievers provide you inspiration in their own simple way, find it and utilize that inspiration in your life. “

Sugar and Rosalyn, I really want to thank you for taking the time to answer some questions for us. I'm certain readers will be interested in your responses.
