urinating over night every three hours or so

by Deb
(Bismrack, ND)

My Golden Retriever will be 12 years old this spring. About 4 years ago he started having thryroid problems and no thryroid hormone. He has been on thyroxine .8 mg 1 time per day (morning). In the last 6 months he did have to have it raised. Lately, he has been not able to make the over night without having to urinate. Last night he went out at 3:30am in at 4:30am then urinated in the house before 7:30am. He still has some energy and does get excited about things but this is so unusual for him. Help!!!!

I think you really need to talk to your vet again. If It's that unusual for him there must be another problem. I think only a vet's advice is the only thing to do.
